Description
Whether you are deep in the backcountry or out for a walk with your pet, there is nothing worse than getting caught in a downpour. Our new packable poncho kit enables you to bring ultimate rain protection (and personalized style) wherever you go.
Everyone is familiar with the single-use, crinkly, cellophane-like ponchos you might find in an airport or at a stadium. Those ponchos often tear immediately, aren't sustainable or reusable and they don't exactly scream "fashion". Instead, you can use this kit to sew a colorful (or not, the choice is yours), reusable and multi-functional piece of rain gear that will last as long as you need it to.
The poncho kit is precision-cut (which means no patterning/guesswork) out of our 1.1 oz Silnylon waterproof fabric. The Silnylon is durable and stain resistant while still packing down to the size of a baseball, and the finished poncho (without seam sealing) comes in at only 6 ounces.
But wait! There's more... A functional pattern design means that this poncho doubles as a tarp by using the included tie outs. This means you have the option to set up an emergency shelter, or groundsheet if your circumstances are less-than-ideal. Optionally, you may choose to seal the seams with to make every stitch water tight if you plan on using this as shelter more often.
Stop settling for a throw-away trash bag that won't keep you dry! The packable poncho will be the first thing you grab for mountain or every day adventures.
